In addition to being a credit reporting company, Experian provides data analytics to businesses and credit-based financial services to consumers. We wanted customers to feel informed and excited about experian Smart Money, while ensuring an effortless setup.
The Account Opening process encompasses how customers learn about and setup their checking account. Like many onboarding experiences, it plays a crucial role in their initial impressions around the product. To create an engaging experience, we considered questions like:
What incentivizes customers about the product?
What are barriers to account completion? And what is high value?
What setup actions increase customer engagement down the line?

WE delivered over 1,000 screens for web, ios, and android across 3 separate releases. Here are a few snapshots.
Each feature we designed presented a unique set of edge cases, legal accommodations, and third party dependencies. We worked closely with the client to address all these challenges. Given Experian's large ecosystem of products, we also found opportunities to call out their other offerings in the experience.
